At least use a CY8C5488AXI-LP120 then you can get as near as 79.5 MHz which is within the tolerance.

Hi, thanks Bob. But according the new version CY8C58LP_001-84932_0F all CY8C58LP should be tactable at PLL at 80 MHz. The PSoC Creator Version 3.0 SP1 restricts the CY8C5868LP-035 to cca 67 MHz. Please where can we change the maximum allowable PLL frequency in PSoC Creator.
Regards,
Viktor

I cannot find the 80MHz mentioned for CY8C58xx. But when I use the device selector from within Creator I can fing some 80MHz devices.

So this raises even more questions -
1) Is Creator device selector most current info ?
2) Or is datasheet most current ?
3) Or would one file a CASE contacting tech support to clear up any inconsistencies ?
Given that 1) and 2) lag points of decision, 1) more so than 2).
I am betting on 3).
Regards, Dana.

Hi Viktor, The part "CY8C5868AXI-LP035" has max frequency of 67 MHz. If you want 80MHz then select parts "CY8C5888AXI-LP096" or "CY8C5888LTI-LP097". See section 12 Table 12-1 for selecting part which has 80 MHz max frequency. Thank you, Pavan |
