CY8CKIT-050 and CAN/LIN Expansion board kit CY8CKIT-017 Compatability

Are these 2 kits compatible? I cant find anything in the documentation that says they are or how to configure.

   

If so does anyone have any specific information about them?

Yes and no. The connector of the CAN/LIN board are compatible (mechanical and eletrical) with the ones on the -050 board. But the actual pin assignment differs, so you will need to adjust all the example projects.

   

Oh, and the -050 kit should have a PSoC5LP on it (which should be the case if its younger than 2 or 3 years). The PSoC5 has issues with CAN and it got disabled.

Yes, I ran into the differing pin locations with the Segment LCD kit.

   

So I just need to report the pins.

   

I have 5 CY8CKIT-050 kits and most are less than 3 years old So they all should have PSOC5lp's.

Just check what chip is on the boards - it should have 'LP' in its number.
