Hello
I am using a CY8C3865PVI_060. It is a small 48 pins PSoC3.
I can program/debug it using the 3 lines /XRES SWDck SWDio and GND.
The board starts only if the miniprog3 is connected to the board (with the USD cable connected to the computer)
The miniprog3 set up is: SWD protocol, external power, reset acquire mode, 10pins connector
When I remove the miniprog3 the board does not start. I have no experience of this small package with optionnal XRES. On the 100pins package, I just remove the tool and the board starts.
thanks for your help.
regards jean

Hi Jean, Dana,
Please note when Miniprog3 when not powered pulls the XRES line to low state and hence holding the PSoC device in reset state.
Make sure Miniprog3 is connected to PC via USB cable when the other end is connected to PSoC.

Hello
Problem solved
I just added a 1uF capacitor to the many 100nf on VDDD and the board starts.
I guess the reason was that the miniprog adds a capacitor to VDDD.
Thanks Dana
