I've been using a Cypress PSoC 5LP 059 development kit and it suggests in the documentation that the extra pins on the kitprog part of the board can be used as a logic analyser or oscilloscope. It doesn't seem to be an in built feature or I'm not seeing the wood for the trees, any ideas on how to do this?
Thanks,
Dan.

If you keyword search on forum "psoc 5 oscilloscope" there are several
threads where a basic scope was being developed. Do same with Google,
there are projects at element14.com for PSOC 4 based oscilloscope.
For a cheap but quite capable logic analyzer -
Link jjust one of several sellers on ebay.
Uses Saelae software, free for download.

Dana,
have you been able to run this Saleae clone at more than 8MHz sampling rate?

I will have to check, I think I tried it at 24 Mhz, but I need to confirm.
If I am not mistaken uses a Cypress FX3 part in it.

The maximum sampling rate of the device to 24 MHz. device: CY7C68013A
This is verified by many. Sometimes it is automatically reduced to 16 MHz
If you have an old CY8CKIT - 003 PSoC3 or CY8CKIT - 014 PSoC5
you can do it yourself, it is enough to replace the ROM to another with the code C0 25 09 81 38 1B 00 00
You will be available 3 channel (PB0, PB1, PB2), but you can solder the wires additionally.
it here.

I sampled at 12 Mb/s OK, 16 hung on the new beta software.
I am suspicious of my old USB card in PC, so will try on a newer laptop
to see what I can get.
