Hi all,
This question might be a very bad one, but nonethelles..
I've looked at the block diagrams for PRoC BLE and PSoC 4 BLE, and to me they seem very similar.
Could anyone please explain what their main difference are, as the one is a Radio-on-Chip and one is a System-on-Chip?
Thx.

Thank you again Dana.
Is the difference merely the ability to program the Analog and Digital I/Os on the SoC, which makes it a SoC rather than a RoC?

No, you can program the I/O on either parts. Its UDBs vs no UDB, more analog
vs less.... Take the two data sheets, first page description, place them side by side, and
you will get a better idea.
Regards, Dana.

Attached is a partial catalog of the functions that can be implemented in a
PSOC, many of the digital ones use the UDBs for implementation. And
user can utilize UDB and customize them, making their own component catalog
for user specific functions.

I noticed that the UART rx and tx on the PRoC module can NOT be moved to ANY pin, but they can be moved to select pins -- Is this due to the lack of UDB on the PRoC?

The fixed-function serial control blocks (SCBs) have dedicated pins to be used. So only the USB-based components are (nearly) freely routable since they are connected to an IO-matrix.
