Hi Every one

I have already updated from PSoC  Creator 3.1 SP3 To PSoc Creator 3.0.

I am having  trouble to build projects created with the previous version of Creator.

May be I am not understanding the following  message every time I am opening any project.

The following new system-level components have been found: LIN_Dynamic. The Design-Wide Resources file, 'Project.cydwr', stores the selected version of these components. The newly found component versions need to be saved so they don't auto-update to the latest version in the future if/when newer versions of the components become available.

What does mean LIN_Dynamic ?

Thank you very much

Compiles fine, just set to contiguos and assign the pins...

This is a Creator-internal component to ease updating projects. So that is nothing to concern.

Latest Creator is already 3.3

and you should update the components (In Creator ->Project->Update Components)

Thank you Bob !

I am working with CY8C3866LTI.

Please see attached schematic from a very straightforward project.

Please let me know why it is not showing the pin names of Hight_Col component pin .

The only way to see them is setting " contiguous", on pin component configuration box but in doing so, the project doesn't compile.

Thank you very much.

Hi Bob, I am in a trouble every time there is an update of Creator.

As I told you I am working wit CY8C3866LTI030.

I have set  at DWR Debug Select as GPIO, because I need the most of P1.port pins.

I had not issue in doing so, to compile or downloading code to PSoC 3.

I am using one Powerfulboard because has a small form factor and is convenient to testing my project.

I am about to manufacture the PCB.

It does mean that the pin assignments are already done.

I have big trouble to set up a pin configuration that was working always OK from the beginning of prototype.

Please see attached PDF where I am explain you what is happening .

On the other hand  now, I am compiling just one project  from the whole workspace  and the compiler give me errors  from other  project that are not set up as Active Project.

It is not an  issue with code is about Creator configuration changes.

Please help me.

Best regards,

Can you upload your complete workspace with all projects inside?

And: what the hack is "botained"?

I'll do that.

Obtained is an typewrite error , I wanted to mean " Obtained" > Getting.

The workspace is not complete, I cannot open the 10X15-project. In the other project ports are contiguous and it compiles fine.

A question: Why do you want to have your pins to reside on the very same port (which is the meaning of contiguous) - You may specify *any* pin-location for your I/Os.

I cannot see (or reproduce) the problem you have got.

Bob please see attached 10x15 project.

This project is about read an array of 15 colum by 10 rows.

I have been doing that  with before version of PSoC CREATOR and are working.

The contiguous meaning is about  read more easily  the array.

I am shifting a "logic 1" and  then I am reading  every rows.

It seems to me that this procedure  require  continuous pin.

But , too take a look to the Analog port which inclode the whole bits at Port 0.

Why I can not set up the whole port as continuos.? before that action was possible.

I will try to build a new schematic fo each project , in other words  I will generate a new Workspace.

Since you are using control registers to set the pins it is completely irrelevant whether you use contiguous pins or not.

Same for your analog input pins.

Contiguous pins have all to reside on the same port and are not allowed for analog pins.

You use pins from different port on High_Col, so that will not work.

Analog_Port1 is analog, so that will not work either, but you could combine your Analog_Port1 and Port2 to a single component with your required number of inputs. When you use some "Display as Bus" features you can cleanup your sheet a bit without changing the logic behind.

On your Low_Col pins you may relinquish the control register, set to no hardware connection and write with a single statement

Low_Col_Write(BitPattern);

all your contiguous port pin's output.
