Hi All
My MiniProg3 is having an issue of heating if it remains connected to PC for more than a minute. We are planning to order a new MiniProg3, but I need to finish some critical tasks before it arrives. Can anybody please guide me how to program and debug the CY8CKIT-001 kit without using MiniProg3?
Thanks and Regards
Shaunak

Hi Shaunak
Maybe this post can help you, i haven't tested it myself. It uses a Pioneer Kit to debug your board.

You also can use the Kt-Prog of the kit-059
Snap it of the Kit, remove D1 and prepare an adapter cable. I have tested it and it worked fine.
Removing D1 is required to split the USB Power from VTARG. This enables Kit Prog to properly detect programming voltage.
I recommend before snapping to pre cut on both sides with a sharp knife. This prevents the PCB traces to be lifted and reduces the force required for snapping Kit Prog of the Kit
All the Best
