I have been playing with CY8CKIT-042-BLE Pioneer Kit for a while. Suppose I want to create something small like a keychain with LED that flashes when I press a button in an app on an iPhone. I assume that I need only a coin cell battery, CY8C4247LQI-BL483 chip, a resister, and an LED for the minimum. I wonder whether I can program the chip using the Pioneer Kit that I currently have? Do I need an extra kit to program it?

Program your chip using 5 pin interface to kitprog. Allows even for debugging. Have a look into the schematics of your pioneer BLE kit.

Welcome in the forum!

Cheapest solution without tampering your Pioneer kit would be to use the snap off Kitprog part of a CY8CKIT-059 prototyping kit, which gives you additionally a PSoC5 to play with.

Ideally, I want to create an array of sensors that send data to a server via bluetooth. I need to create a custom PCB and use one of Cypress's chip like CY8C4247LQI-BL483. Once I have my PCB with CY8C4247LQI-BL483 chip on it, how can I program it?
