Hi,
I'm trying to design a custom board using FX3 peripheral. I will connect my board to USB2.0 hosts only so I don't need to use the USB3.0-related wires. I chose the FX3 over FX2LP because of its better specs. My question is : do I need to connect the USB3.0-related wires or can I get rid of them ? Depending on the answer, my design would be pretty different (different connectors & different routing). I think I would get better results with less EMI if there's no USB3.0...
Thanks for the replies 🙂

Hi,
You do not have to connect the UBB 3.0 wires.

Thanks for the feedback Madhu !
What about the R_USB3 pin ? Do I have to connect a resistor or should I leave floating ?

I'd think not hooking it up would be analogous to plugging a 3.X device into a High-speed hub or port on a PC or other device... Does any of the lines get made active in a 2.X connection situation?
