How to hold the cpu reset for fx3 ez-usb when downloading firmware

Hi,

   

I'm looking for the method to download firmware to ez-usb fx3. And I found vendor command 0xA0 can be used.

   

But fx2 spec says CPU must be hold in reset when downloading firmware(writing to 0xE600).

   

Should CPU be hold for fx3 when downloading firmware? If yes, how to do?

Hi,

   

Please refer the control center source code and the Cypress Boot Programmer firmware (C:\Program Files (x86)\Cypress\EZ-USB FX3 SDK\1.3\firmware\boot_fw\src)  for details on downloading firmware to FX3.

   

You do not have to hold the reset for Fx3.
