CY5670 OR CY5677 which one to use for GUI in windows 8 ?

Hi All,

   

I am using CYBLE-012011-00(BLE 4.1),EZ-BLE™ PRoC™ Module for my project,

   

as a requirement in project i have to developed a GUI in Windows 8 machine,

   

That GUI will communicate to CYBLE-012011-00,

   

so to enable BLE in windows i need BLE USB dongle,

   

so i decided to use Cypress dongle but now confused to which dongle i should choose(CY5670 or CY5677 ) and why?

   

i have procured generic BLE dongle from local market but that is not working for me any leads?

CY5677 is the BLE 4.2 dongle. When you don't plan to go to 4.2 in the future, you can stay with the CY5670 dongle as its qualified for 4.1 only. AFAIK the CY5677 can do both.
