The few times I can not connect after a few seconds I get the disconnection

Hi Alex,

Can you let us know the details of the problem? Are you trying to program a Gigablue receiver from our FX2LP. Can you specify the interface you are trying to program. it will be good if we get the block diagram of the system.

Also if you can provide details of the firmware etc, we can try to debug faster.

Regards,

Ajay

Hi, use Broadcom 3 study, when I connect the cypress "EZ-USB FX2LP CY7C68013A" often does not connect when you connect this lasts a few seconds.
I connected to gigablue scl, sda, gnd with J1 jumper disabled.
The interface should be a virgin.
On the Windows 10 operating system I have seen the connection for a few seconds only once, on windows7 changing several times the driver I always obtained connection of a few seconds: the error that by broadomstudio is the following:
i2c removed.
I begin to think that the interface lacks some programming.
I am unfamiliar, I just wanted to rewrite the boot to this receiver.
There are various online guides that explain how to use the cypress as JTAG for receivers, but I doubt that my cypress is not ready for this work.
Can you help please?
Thanks to anyone who wants to help me.

Perhaps the problem is the pid?
From what I've read some user has solved under windows xp with a modified driver.
Under windows 7:10 I modified inf file
inserting
VID_0a5c & PID_b12c.DeviceDesc = "Broadcom Adapter Test"

but windows by mistake.

And 'possible to have a driver with this value that does not give error under Windows x32 / x64?

I installed Windows 7 x32, and with this I have the vid and pid correct.
The connection takes a few seconds then disconnects: i2c removed.
Something is missing to the cypress?
I am attaching the screen
Thanks to anyone who wants to help me.
I apologize if I bothered anyone with my post.

hi, I apologize again for the inconvenience.
My biggest doubt is the following: the cypress is already enabled to i2c protocol?
If not how do I enable it?
I need to load through the cypress boot of 300 k.
First I have to clear the MXIC MX29GA320ELXFI-70G.
Under Windows 7 x32 I solved the problem vid / pid and drivers.
I thank all those who will help me.

Hi Alex,

I did this procedure many years ago and only today I bricked my GB800 SOLO HD again. I was able to recover in one shot using a post I left myself back in the day on the gigablueandme blog site.

I can confirm it work on Win7 32-bits. Have you tried without the VCC connected? It's not needed.

I have the same cypress adapter as in the picture above, it needs no programming AFAIK and both jumpers on the board bridged.

Best regards,

Mefte

Hi,

Is that Board which has FX2LP your custom board or is that provided by other Vendor? Could you please provide an entire block diagram of your application?

Should FX2LP boot from the I2C lines which is connected to GIGAblue I2C?

Regards,
