FX3 - Using GPIF II Interface as a 1Mbps UART

Is it possible to configure the GPIF II interface on the FX3 to act as a UART at 1 Mbps? How would that be accomplished?

We have a dedicated UART block on FX3, you do not need to use GPIF for the same, Please refer to USBUART example in FX3 SDK.  

   

C:\Program Files (x86)\Cypress\EZ-USB FX3 SDK\1.3\firmware\serialif_examples\cyfxusbuart 

   

The example is configured for 115200, but Max baud supported is 4608000
