I notice the the updated 20732S TRM (103) is available on the community now. Along with having two layout recommendations, there seems to be a much larger  clearance area on page 23, Fig-9. What are the dimensions of this area?

Also, on page 27, Fig-14, there is an obvious mislabelled dimension for the minimum ground plane.

Does anyone have the real numbers?

Thanks,

Wayne

Hello Wayne,

  1. The larger ground plane shown on fig 9 is 147x140 mil.
  2. For the minimum ground plane, I don't have the dimensions of the I2C ground area - But will find out.
  3. The ground plane that covers the 4 ground pads is 63x57 mil.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks

JT

Yep, I started with these very same threads. They existed prior to the newest TRM (103). So I am still in search of the missing dimensions.

Here's Figure 9 and 14 from the previous TRM102.  These are not the same figures as those in TRM103.  I will ask the gentleman that updated the TRM to comment.

Can you clarify the exact changes you are questioning in the new Figure 9 and 14? It appears that the entire PCB/Layout section was updated in the new TRM.
