50 deg is not max temperature for thermistor. Max/mid/min are setpoints to enter thermistor resistance. Each thermistor has its own, which you can get from manufacturer specs. Thermistor component will use those values to calculate A,B,C coefficients for Stahl equations, linking thermistor resistance to the temperature.
