Hi All,

I had purchased PSoC 5LP (CY8CKIT -050) development kit couple of months back. Due to wrong connection PSoC chip got burnt.

Then I ordered only chip and replaced it (CY8C5868AXI LP035)

After soldering new chip on board. I tried to flash test program on it using MiniProg3. But Every time it is failing with error

FAILED! PSoC device is not acquired! Check connection of the chip to the programmer

I also checked voltage level at various points (VDDD, VSSD). Those are proper.

My MiniProg3 setting are:

Programming Mode - Reset

Verification, Auto Detection - On

Protocol - JTAG (Check with SWD)

Voltage - 5V (check with 3.3V)

Connector - 10

Clock - 1.5 MHz

Can anyone help with this?

How can I ensure new chip is intact?

Does it required to flash any bootloader?

Thanks & Regards,

A bootloader for the new chip is not required.

I would suggest to check the soldering thoroughly:

Check resistance and check for shortcuts.
