Debounce Component used with Multiple Switches

Can some explain how to use the  Debouncer Component and Status Register Component to debouncer multiple switches.  In AN60024 it mentions that its done by changing the component's signal width parameter.  I see how to do in the Debouncer Component, but how do i  do it on the Status Register side as well as connect up the 5 switches I want to read?

When the inputs are successfully debounced there is no need for a second debouncing at the status register.
