We are going to use BCM20735 chips in our product, but can't find debug boards or evaluation kits for them.

The corresponding Cypress page on "getting started" contains only:
"Coming Soon!   WICED SMART READY SDK and kits to enable you to get started. Contact us to learn more", but this SDK is not available on the site, only WICED SMART SDK is available. Official Broadcom press release also does not list BCM20735...

BCM2073X debug kits declare only support of BCM20732, BCM20736 and BCM20737.

Can you please advice:

1. What Development / Debug / Evaluation boards are available for BCM20735 and where is it possible to buy them?
2. Is it possible to use BCM92073X_LE_TAG4 / BCM92073X_LE_KIT for BCM20735, otherwise how is it possible to work (make firmware and test it) with BCM20735 now?

Thank you!

The BCM20735 has not yet been released to the broad market.  The SDK support here on the community is specific to the BCM2073X family. Please work with your local Cypress Sales/Rep or one of our franchised Distributors on early engagement criteria for this device.

Thank mwf_mmfae you for the clarification!

Can you please advise then any Development / Evaluation boards for the BCM20730 to develop firmware for it now and port to BCM20735 when the boards become available?

I'm not familiar with the BCM20730 and believe this is a different family of device from the BCM20735 (different SDK, not supported here on the community).  You will need to reach out to your local support team to discuss both.

I see... What about BCM20734 or any other chipset from this family (BCM20730, BCM20733 or anything else) with a keyboard scanner?

What can you advise closest to BCM20735 with a keyboard scanner to be able make & debug the firmware now and port it later without much efforts?

Thank you!

Dear mwf_mmfae,

The BCM20735 was already released (I received a few BCM20735PKML1G chips in the end of September), but there are still neither developments kits nor SDK available on the official page.
Can you please point out any concrete contacts where I can ask about the development support, and development kits?

Unfortunately, chips being available through catalog distributors does not necessarily make the part supported within the broad market.  This device is however supported within several tier 1 customers which have direct factory support.  Broad market support will follow most likely follow in the coming months.  At this point in time, we do not have a keyboard scanner chip that is supported in the broad market.

Thank you mwf_mmfae for the clarification.

Can you please specify what exactly "tier 1 customers" do have this support if possible to make the partnership with them?
