Hi,

I have just purchased Cypress CY4500 (Rev 09) from digikey. I have installed EZ-PD software and it detects the device but i can't update the firmware. Please see the attached image.cy4500.png

The issue got fixed in the latest release. Please install EZ-PD Configuration Utility 1.4.2 or above - https://softwaretools.infineon.com/tools/com.ifx.tb.tool.ezpdconfigurationutility?_ga=2.160147005.10...

Hi,

This occurs if a proper driver is not installed. Can you please try installing drivers from

C:\Program Files (x86)\Cypress\CY4500 EZ-PD Protocol Analyzer\1.0\EZ-PD Analyzer Utility

Also make sure proper driver is bound to the hardware in Device Manager

There is no driver in the latest software. Can you provide a link?driver.png

Ok thanks it's working now. I assumed "CY4500 EZ-PD Protocol Analyzer EXE"" was an old version since it hasn't been updated since 2016.

What's the difference between this and the "Utility"?

Hi

CY4500 EZ-PD Protocol Analyzer EXE installs drivers related to CY4500 kit. It also includes earlier version of EZ-PD Analyzer Utility( This utility can only decode PD2.0 packets).
