Am I mistaken when I think of Broadcom for Cellular technology?
Broadcom's BCM61755's marketing information states the part's purpose is to "offload data traffic from increasingly congested 3G, 4G/LTE mobile and WiFi networks". It then describes "3G and 4G/LTE" as well as "3G TDSCDMA and WCDMA". I'm not clear if the BCM61755 is intended to intercept cellular traffic and re-route it or provide a local cellular sub-network.
I'm interested in hearing of applications where this part has been implemented and how successful it's been in offloading data traffic from cellular and WiFi services.
