When I start Windows version on Windows 10 I get the dialog box with the following message:
"the cy4500_ez_pd_protocol_analyzer.exe executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library"
Here is my windows Java version:
C:\>java -version
java version "1.8.0_271"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_271-b09)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.271-b09, mixed mode)
When I start Mac version on Mac I see the following:
Mac Java version:
MacOS $ java -version
java version "1.8.0_111"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_111-b14)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.111-b14, mixed mode)

Found the workaround (for Windows only):
- Go to C:\Users\xxxxx\Cypress\EZ-PD Protocol Analyzer Utility directory
- Start eclipsec.exe
- Mark as New
- Bookmark
- Subscribe
- Mute

I also had this issue. I had to install an older version of Java jre-8u251-windows-x64.exe
