In an x 2 configuration, shall the DP_SYS <-> DP_TOP/DP_BOTTOM passthrough be omitted and the lines connected directly?
We intend to dynamically support two configurations:
Config 1: First connector in USB 3.2 Gen1 x 2 mode, second connector in USB 2.0 mode
Config 2: Both connectors in USB 3.2 Gen1 x 1 mode
Is it possible to use the CCG6DF to dynamically switch between these two configurations? If not, can you suggest another solution?

Hi Johannes,
If you do not need the USB 2.0 MUX feature in CCG6DF, then you can omit it.
As you can see, the USB superspeed signal does not go through CCG6DF. The type-c controller cannot decide a USB port support USB 3.2 Gen1x2 or USB 3.2 Gen1x1. What we can do it to notify the opponent that we support other alternate modes.
For receptacle design, a data mux for USB 3.0 signal is needed. You can dynamically cut the USB 3.0 signal, then the only thing left is USB 2.0

May you recommend an USB 3.0 data mux?
