proximity sensor touch vs proxmity code

I am having trouble finding in the capsense data sheet the procedure for differentiating proximity vs touch with a capsense proximity sensor. a code example would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Scott,

For a proximity sensor, the difference between the proximity sensing and proximity touch sensing is mainly differentiated using difference counts produced by the sensor. So in the firmware you can measure the difference counts and take the decision accordingly. For this please note that you need to calibrate the difference counts before writing the firmware logic.

Can you please tell what is the MPN device that you are using?
