Hi everyone,

[CYW20819] Revised data sheet for Tx Power description

A miss was found in your data sheet regarding the Tx Power description.

https://community.cypress.com/thread/55948?q=[CYW20819]%20About%20Tx%20Power

The customer wants to know when the revision can be done.

Thanks,

Hi,

The max Tx power mentioned on the first page is based on the PA max expected performance. Not the net output of the chip.

If this creates ambiguity in customers we will discuss and try to make it more clearer in the next revision, if needed.

Meanwhile, customers can refer RF specification tables in the datasheet to get all the power values and proceed with their work.

We cannot provide you a strict timeline for this.

Thanks,

-Dheeraj

Hi

We're having trouble with your answer.

You have made the following conclusions.

>The max tx power (as 4dBm) mentioned in the 1st page is a mistake. We will correct it in the next revision of datasheet.

This time we have a different conclusion.

>The max Tx power mentioned on the first page is based on the PA max expected performance. Not the net output of the chip.

Which is right?

I think it's better to update that description if you can.

Is it possible?

Yhanks,

Yang

Hi,

I am sorry to have confused you.

I understand the Max. Tx power mentioned in the datasheet as 4dBm does not have much explanation on the 1st page.

The explanation is: The 4dBm value is based on the PA max expected performance. Not the net output of the chip.

Customers can check the RF specification tables (table 20 to 23) in the datasheet to get net output power values of the chip under different modes, that we have verified by our HW engineers.

We have taken your concern seriously, and we will be taking necessary actions to reduce the ambiguity in the next revision of datasheet.

Thanks,

-Dheeraj
