Hi

In the Hardware Design Consideration of PSoC62 MCU you see that Pin0[1] is used for RTC operation and for JTAG purpose, especially for the TRST signal. I have illustrated this in a block diagram in the appendix.

My questions:

Is the signal TRST really needed for JTAG operation ?

If yes, how should it be designed correctly with the RTC oscillator connected on this Pin ?

In the PCB design i would put a resistor on the TRST line and if TRST is not used, i would not equip it.

Thanks

Hi,

>>"Is the signal TRST really needed for JTAG operation ?"

--> No need. Please check the kit connections of our development kit CY8CKIT-062-WIFI-BT attached with this thread. The kit can be programmed using JTAG even when TRST is not connected.

Thanks

Ganesh
