Hello,
The sensor used in that example is MT9V034.
The KBA can also be used as a generic one which guides how to use FX2LP to interface with an image sensor. Any image sensor which has the following pin configurations can be used by modifying the firmware based on the image sensor configuration registers.
The example firmware is attached to the KBA.

Hello,
The KBA is based on Aptina image sensor. Any other similar sensor can be used by making the required modification in the firmware.
