Hi everyone

The customer wants to confirm the following items about the certification fee.

1. They checked the information related to the standard certification,

https://community.cypress.com/docs/DOC-14196

Are there any plans to increase the number of certified areas / countries in the future?

They are especially concerned about Taiwan.

2. The following standards, which are European standards, are scheduled to be updated.

①Acquired EN300328 V2.1.1 (Expiration date 2021/8/6) → Standard update EN300328 V2.2.2

② Acquired EN55022 → Latest standard EN55032

③ Acquired EN55024 → Latest standard EN55035

④Acquired EN60950-1 → Latest standard EN62368-1

Is there a plan to update this module?

If yes, please tell us the schedule in that case.

Are the reports from ② to ④ disclosed?

Thanks

Yang

Hi Yang,

Following are the answers to your queries:

  1. We will get the NCC certificate in the coming 2 weeks, accordingly we will plan.
  2. For (1)&(4), we will update the standard after integration with Infineon.

For (2)&(3), there is no need to include EN55022/24/32/35 which is for end product, we will remove them in next version

Hi Yang,

Usually we re-certify our modules before they get expired. For EN300328 standard, please refer EN 300 328 CYBT 343026 EN300328 v2.2.2 update

I have asked internally about the your doubts. Will update soon.

Thank you for your reply.

Could you inform us about the current status?

>Usually we re-certify our modules before they get expired.

As far as I know, you may want to increase Korean certification in June 2020.

Is this news true?

Thanks

Yang

Thank you for your coopration.

Could you please tell us exactly when we can get the standard?

Maybe November or December?

Thanks

For question 1, we are working on Taiwan NCC now and it is expected to be finished in the coming 2 weeks. We already finished Korea KC last week.

For (1) & (4), it is in the plan but there is no detailed schedule now. This communication can only happen after the integration.

Regards,
Sheetal

Thank you for your reply.

I understand that I will get a Taiwan NCC certificate.

I think that it is necessary to print the NCC mark + authorization number on the module.

How should we assume the image of this module part switching time?

I am wondering what happens when I place an order for mass production around September 2020.

Thanks

There is no room to print NCC mark and ID on module, it will be shown in the package.

Since the module will be used in end product, what important is for end product.

Hi Sheetal,

Thank you for your cooperation.

I update below information, and copy from below link.

【CYBT-343026-01】About the certification of NCC

Please give us some advice and information.

>As mentioned in 【CYBT-343026-01】About the certification IDs of regulations ,

>there is no space on module so it will be printed on package.

If it is FMA, it must be printed on Module.

Is my understanding correct?

Or it is OK that it will be printed on package for your company.

>Also, it will be really appreciated if you could mention all your queries in one response;

>that way it will be convenient for us to interact with module team & get answers for your queries soon.

I am sorry for your inconvenience.

And thanks for your advice.

When I want to add some questions, the below link has been closed.

【CYBT-343026-01】About the certification IDs of regulations

If possible, could you please tell me how to reopen it?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Add the questions about certification.

1, Customer will use Class2 output.

Is the certification of each country's radio law in the following URL valid for class2?

I think Yes, is it correct?

https://community.cypress.com/docs/DOC-14196

2, Customer has a question about an IC certification permit.

Is the following understanding correct about the specifications submitted at the time of application?

(1) Within 2 dB from the maximum specification value including deviation in the specifications submitted at the time of application.

(2) Below RF power value stated in the certificate

Note: I don't think the permit will pass unless this condition is met.

Hi Yang,

Following are the answers to your queries:

Or it is OK that it will be printed on package for your company.

>> To print it on package is OK;

1. Customer will use Class2 output. Is the certification of each country's radio law in the following URL valid for class2?

I think Yes, is it correct?

>> Yes, your understanding is correct;

2. Customer has a question about an IC certification permit.

Is the following understanding correct about the specifications submitted at the time of application?

>> Someone understands the rule strictly: the real power in end product must be within a range of the maximum power in certification. In fact it is OK if the maximum power in end product is lower the maximum power in module certification, but if there are multiple RF modules in end product, it will be different.

Hi

Add the question.

>2, Customer has a question about an IC certification permit.

According to the IC permit (attached file), only the measured RFpower (W) is stated, but the maximum output application value (xxdBm) is not written.

For example, if the maximum output application value is +12 dBm, we have heard from the certification body that the sample used for the certification test must meet the above condition (1).

If the customer uses the IC permit issued by your company, it is of course necessary to perform the SAR test with the IC built in our housing under the same conditions.

Therefore, the customer cannot select the sample (within 2 dB from the maximum value) for the test without knowing the application value of the IC permit.

Please point out any mistakes in our understanding.

Hi Sheetal,

Customer wants to get the information of the NCC certificate and report,

could you provide us with it?

And can the information of the NCC ID (CCXXxxYYxxyZzW) also be provided to us?

Thanks,

Yang

Hi Yang,

The device is certified with FCC. We don’t have the NCC certification. Customer needs to do it by themselves.
