Hi all,
A new miniprog4 bought for kit050 programming.
Environment: PSOC programmer 3.27.1
Miniprog4 10 pin SWD to CYKIT-050 10 pin SWD
No external power supply for KIT050, miniprog4 supply for the kit.
However, sonething might be wrong with miniprog4! See below, toggle power button grey and Voltage row grey too.
Besides, I have another miniprog3 programmer, it can successfully download .hex file under the same situation(miniprog3 supply for KIT050).
And I have also tried to program using PSOC CREATOR 4.2, 'port acquire' failed.
Thanks if anyone have the same experience and share with me.
Jia

Looks the "power supervision tool" is not supported by miniprog4 dongle, but MiniProg3 only.

Hi,
Support MiniProg4 was added in PSoC Programmer version 3.28. Please update PSoC Programmer on your system to the latest version and try again.
Here is the link: https://www.cypress.com/file/500701/download
Cheers!

Hi,
Thank you very much for the quick answer. It works!
Besides, another problem confuses me concerning about iic using miniprog4.
Environment:
CY8CKIT050, VDDD/VDDA=5.0V
CY8CKIT035
Miniprog4
Background: Using miniprog3 connect to 5pin iic connector in CY8CKIT035, it works, in power supervision tool, iic device and address shows up.
Then replace miniprog3 with miniprog4.
It is clear in the CYKIT005(miniprog4) datasheet that 5pin SWD do not equip IIC function but 2*6 header can run iic protocol. See below
So I avoid connecting 5port directly to CY8CKIT035 5pin. Instead, using jump wires to mimic iic function.See below
Four wires connecting:
SDA
SCL
GND
VTARG(5V)
Miniprog4 USB to PC
Phenomenon:
No iic device shown in power supervision tool. Tried several times and still fail. Confident that wires are correctly connected.
Thanks,
Jia

Please check your connection:
1: VTARG: pin1
2:SDA: pin2
3:SCL:pin4
4:GND:pin12

Hi,
Thank you for the reply.
The connection from my point of view are correct and you can see from my previous picture above. The corresponding relationship:
VTARG: pin1 Grey wire
SDA: pin2 Black wire
SCL:pin4 Red wire
GND:pin12 White wire
This miniprog4 dongle can program BTW.
Thanks,
Jia
