Hello

They want to operate CY4532 (CCG3PAKIT) as a 100W (20V / 5A) PowerSource, but we are thinking that CY4532 needs to be modified.(ex. Buck-Boost controller /power inductance,/power MOSFET /filter capacitor.,etc). Please tell us in detail what kind of components should be used and what kind of schematic configuration should be used.
In addition, the following items, including the setting of CY4532, are considered as precautions for achieving 100W.

・ Because the AC adapter included to the CY4532 EVK is 12V, a separate power source is required for 20V (5/A)
Use a terminal connector instead of the barrel connector of the AC adapter to connect the power source
・ Switch the power source of SW1 to the terminal connector side.

Please let me know if you have any problems mentioned above.

Best Regards

As you know, CCG3PA supports 100W(20V/5A). Also, CY4532 can support up to 24V/5A supply. The design can withstand up to 24V/5A supply. (This kind of description can be seen in the schematic)

100W supply system can achieve supplying power to DC TERMINAL (J2) instead of DC Jack (J3).

Regarding the modification instruction for both hardware and firmware is as follows.

Hello

They are considering using CY4532 as a PowerSource with PA 100W (20V/5A).I am understanding that various jumper settings, FW programming, etc., and plan to connect to the J2 terminal using a stabilized power supply from outside.
However, when looking at the schematic of CY4532, there are comments of LOAD ONLY FOR 24V OPERATION and NO LOAD FOR 24V OPERATION,

When operating the CY4532 at 20V / 5A (Power-Source), do I need to modify some of the resistance values on the board? If yes, would you please give me details on how to modify?

Best Regards

Why you do not read KBA?

I am misunderstanding the meaning of the following  KBA question.

"Question: How do I add VCONN support to the EVK?"

I'm sorry.I follow the answer above.
