Hi.
I use PSoC 4100S Plus.
I use CapSense Tuner.
I changed parameters on the tuner.
Sense clock frequency
6000kHz => 3000kHz
Then, the signal of the changed button did not rise.
However, this may or may not occur.
It does not occur in our own office, but it occurs in the office we visit.
The evaluation environment is on the desk.
Does the evaluation environment cause these problems?
Kit : CY8CKIT-149
Tool : PSoC Creator4.2
Sense clock frequency 6000kHz
Sense clock frequency 3000kHz

Asanuma-san,
Sorry I missed the previous question in response#2.
Jumping cables, especially communication/GND/Power cables may lead to system cp changed.
different desks: non-conductive desk(such as our office desk) is different with metal desks/Labs desk(Labs desks always has a overlay connected with ground for ESD protecton).
Best Regards,
Ryan

Asanuma-san,
The difference could be caused by evaluation environment, test method, or some parameters' changing.
About diff-count(signal) changing, Please refer Equation (1) or (3) in Optimize CapSense CSD Signal in Firmware - KBA226833
Check if any other paras in the equation changed then we can find the possible root cause.
Thanks,
Ryan

Dear Ryan-san
Thank you for your answer.
Which parameters does the evaluation environment affect?
How is the touch sensor affected when using the board on a desk?

Dear Ryan-san
I could do it without problems at my desk, but on purpose I made the evaluation environment worse.
The touch sensor was put on a plastic bottle and operated.
Changing the clock on Tuner and executing To Device confirmed that the Signal value did not increase.
However, after changing the clock and confirming that Signal did not rise, it was confirmed that pressing the reset button on the evaluation board rise the Signal.
What are the possible causes?

Asanuma-san,
Have you checked the sensor cp of the sensor?
Before and after clock changed, did the cp change or not, no matter on the desk or on customer side?

Ryan

Dear Ryan-san
Thank you for your answer.
I understand that changes in the evaluation environment cause changes in cp.
I will prepare the evaluation environment to operate CapSense.
Best Regards,
asanuma
