Hi, I have a question regarding BT34302601 module we purchased from Farnell last month.

We scanned its QR code  which is B34302601021832116IC according to the product marketing information brochure it should have EZ-serial firmware installed.

Can anyone tell me what firmware is installed on this module.

We are planning on developing a product with this module and want EZ-Serial firmware on the module from the factory.

Is this just an issue with old stock from Farnell or do you not provide EZ-Serial on this module?

Do you provide an alternative dual mode BLE and Blurtooth classic module with the same footprint and pinout?

The module is shipped out before the EZ-Serial FW is officially released. You need to program it with the EZ-Serial FW by yourself.

The module is shipped with the EZ-Serial FW here: https://www.cypress.com/documentation/software-and-drivers/ez-serial-ez-ble-module-firmware-platform

You can also find the user guide for the FW on the above website.

Further information, the module advertises as MTK DUT 706, it has one characteristic when you write to it, it responds Hello Client.

We ordered two dev kits that showed the same behavior. we were able to upload ez-serial to the dev kits by following the instructions in the last post on this thread CYBT343026-EVAL EZ-serial

QR code from module B34302601021832116IC

QR code from dev kit  B3430260102175210485

How do you read the date code from these serial numbers.

According to mouser website the firmware is pre-loaded from the 8th October 2018
