My company uses a CYBLE-022001-00 Bluetooth 4.1 module in an item of vehicle electronics. We had this designed by a 3rd party.

A test-house is demanding, for the purposes of product approval, that we cause the Bluetooth module to transmit on one particular channel only at the low, high and mid band frequencies in turn.

Can this be done without altering the firmware that normally interfaces with this module? ie from an external radio command?

You can select the Advertising Channel Map in BLE component configuration window. It is available under GAP Settings Tab > Advertisement settings > Advertising channel map as shown below. For more details, please refer to BLE component datasheet.

Thanks for the reply,

The EMC test house requires us to carry out the Bluetooth transactions on one particular RF channel after Binding. ie Channel 1 and channel 80. So, the advertising channel isn't the channel I'm interested in specifically.

As the module is built into an equipment, we cannot access the module using a configuration app, and the dev software doesn't seem to support this action anyway. Can we force the channel selection using an external Bluetooth radio command?

You can use the MTK test mode commands to configure BLE configurations such as, channel, power, number of packets, RX_window etc., Please refer to project and description available in Test Firmware for PSoC®/PRoC™ BLE RF Certification – KBA220073
