CY4531 used as Type-C to USB/DP(DFP_D)

Hi,

The CY4531 dev board has Display Port demo to deliver four-lines DP from PC to display monitor connected to USB Type-C.

Can this dev board be used as docking solution, e.g. split USB Type-C signals from host into single USB 3.0 and remaining second SS lines for DFP_D display port.

If, yes do I need to make any changes to the CYPD3125 FW?

Hi,

It is not possible to connect a USB 3.0 device to the Type-B port (J2) on the EVK. Hence the default kit does not support MFDP.
