We integrate BCM20737S module in our monitor and we would like to seek FCC certificate for our monitor.  The test lab needs to reassess the module per its FCC Grant Notes, so they want to measure RF power of module with antenna detached.  However, antenna is connected to circuit ground and there is no RF output pin on the module.  Could someone be kind to advise where and how we could measure RF output with antenna detached?

Can you please discuss with the lab - why they need to reassess the conductive output power? The module has LMA grant, which means that it only needs spurious emissions testing in an equivalent host via a C2PC submission.

The antenna on the BCM20737S SiP module is internal, so you cannot detach it from the SoC die that is built into the SiP packaging.

Many have achieved FCC certification in the past with this device and others in the 2073XS family, and this feature has never been required.

Have you provided links to the following documents to your certification house?

Hi nsankar,

Thank you very much.  The lab now agrees that we can send in samples without modification.
