Hello, I'm using the PSOC4 4200 to sequence the power rails for an FPGA. I would like to run the PSOC in Unregulated External Supply to I can only provide 5V to the device. The 5V is applied as soon as power is applied to the board.
Is this the correct configuration for the 28-SSOP CY8C4244PVI-442?
Thank you very much,
Joe

Please refer the datasheet.
PSoC® 4: PSoC 4200 Family Datasheet
Document Number: 001-87197
There is a power supply example schematic
and a table describing the required bypass-capacitors for TQFP package.

Hello, thank you for responding to my message. The example schematic is confusing, what symbol is ground and what symbol is for power? Is VSS the symbol for ground?
The data sheet says pin 28 is ground which I have connected to and it also says pin 26 could be tied to ground through a cap. I also read that it says to short VCCD to VDD. I'm confusing myself.
Can you please help clarify things for me.
Respectfully,
Joe

The example schematic is describing about the bypass capacitor only.
If you want to supply 5V only, connect the power line to the VDD.
In the TSSOP28 package, VDDD and VDDA are tied together to the VDDD pin.
The VCCD pin has two function. When the internal regulator is used, VCCD pin is used to connect a bypass capacitor for the internal 1.8V regulator. When the internal regulator is not used, VCCD pin is used as a power supply pin from an external power supply.
In your case providing 5V to VDDD, it is enough to connect a 1uF ceramic bypass capacitor to the VCCD pin.

Great! So the schematic that I uploaded is correct for a 5V only supply?
