Hi,

1. Do we have PD controller from Cypress that support HDMI alternate mode.

2. I need to route my HDMI signals from source(application processor) over type C connector. I understand that i can use a Super speed mux to switch HDMI signals and USB super speed signals on to type C connector but how are DDC signals connected between HDMI Sink(on type C connector) and Source(application processor).

3. The link below from TI has solution for enabling HDMI over type C, Do we have any such solutions from cypress.

Hi Abhilash,

We recommended part that support HDMI alternate mode is CCG3.

The reference design is at this page:

https://www.cypress.com/documentation/reference-designs/ez-pd-ccg3-based-hdmi-over-type-c-cable-refe...

This design is a Type-C to HDMI converter so it do not need mux to switch between HDMI signals and USB super speed signals.

Regards,

Eddie

Hi Eddie,

We want both HDMI and type C solutions on the same type C receptacle

depending on what is connected to the type C receptacle.

The use case may be to connect PC for USB 3.x transmission or to connect

HDMI sink via Type C to HDMI cable.

To make it more clear, I want to route both HDMI signals from HDMI

source(on processor) and USB super speed signals over a single type C

connector based on the connection made on the receptacle.(may be via a

super speed MUX). Do we have any such solutions from cypress.

Thanks,

Abhilash G
