Hi Cypress team,

We're programming the MCU with two steps,

Step1. Programming MCU with 3.3V

Step2. Programming fuse with 3.3V

but we saw the document(number:002-15554),

chapter 2-4 Electronic Fuses(eFuse) noted VDDIO0 supply should be set to 2.5V.

We have been programmed eFuse 50pcs,and no error.

We have two questions as below,

1. Does VDDIO0 must be supply 2.5V? Can we provide 3.3V?

2. Will damge the MCU if suuply 2.5V?

Hi Kane,

Cypress recommends 2.5 volts for programming EFUSE bits. This means we can guarantee the process of programming without fault when the voltage is 2.5 volts.

Programming the EFUSE bits with any other voltage with in the device limits would not damage the chip but the success is not guaranteed.
