Is anybody trying to replace Microchip's USB4914? Multi-Host Endpoint Reflector? What's it? And how to replace it with Cypress?

One of my customer is saying he has no other choice than to use Microchip's USB4914.

Does anybody experience or idea?

Hi Stanley,

The Multi-Host Endpoint Reflector technology is a patented technology by Microchip and in the USB4914 datasheet it is explained as a "..technology such that USB data is 'mirrored" between two USB hosts (Multi-Host) in order to execute USB transactions." Please refer to their application note AN2374 for further details on the implementation of this technology.

We have two USB 3.1 hubs HX3 and HX3PD which offer similar features as those present in USB4914, please let us know the customer's specific application so that we can advise better.
