Hello,

I have a cy8c4127azq s455, and cannot find it in psoc creator. If i use the cy8c4127azi s455 version, psoc creator gives me a message that it cannot support the detected mcu. I have also tried "find new devices" with no luck. Anyone know why there is no cy8c4127azq s455 in the device selector?

Hi Jure,

It seems system specific install issue.

Please uninstall PSoC Creator. Run the PSoC Creator Install having Administrator right available at this link :

https://www.cypress.com/products/psoc-creator-integrated-design-environment-ide

Disable any firewall or Antivirus during install.

I hope your system meets all the requirements as mentioned in Release Notes at page#09:

http://updates.cypress.com/updates/psoc_creator/4.2/_4.2_Release_notes.pdf

It might be the problem of incorrect registry entry.

You can try reinstalling the PSoC Creator/Programmer after cleaning up registry entries by using this tool. CyInstaller installs several MSI files; each MSI file has its own unique registry entry. Before installing the MSI package, Windows checks whether a registry entry related to the MSI being installed is already available. If available, the installer skips the related step. Therefore, any incorrect registry entry can lead to installation issues.

Hi,

Thank you for the response. I was able to figure this out allready yesterday. It seems that something was wrong with my install. I did a repair, and then got more devices in the device selector.

Kind regards

Hi,

After sending my previous email, I opened up psoc creator to start working for today, and a project info came up saying that the mcus are no longer supported and gave me the device selector where I can no longer se the correct mcus. Do I need to delete anything in the registry when doing a new install?

Kind regards

Hi,

I think I'm a little closer to perhaps solving the problem. If I start my project without admin priviliges, I cant find the correct device in the selector. If I use admin rights, I can.
