Dear Technical team,

Please clarify the below issue.

CY7C68013A-56PVXI 6 CYPRES 18+  We sold this part to customer, but the end user said there isn't any output of the PCB board when test it with pluging in the USB. PC failed to read the chips when connect to PC with USB. The end user is asking if it need any configuration to connect via USB to computer. The end user configured VID, PID via C51, but failed as well. He downloaded the chip's keyboard driver program as well, but failed. Is there any port which needs to be set up in the configuration of C51?

The end user checked the soldering of the goods, the Peripheral circuits, the PCB board and the USD connector as well, but all of them are fine.

Your Support is Greatly appreciated.

Regards

Ravi

Hi Ravi,

-Please check the schematic and layout of the board with the guidelines mentioned in the App Note- https://www.cypress.com/file/135006/download

-Initial configuration is not required since the device will enumerate with the bootloader which can program the device over USB using Control Center or CyConsole applications. Please refer to the App Note for boot options of the device- https://www.cypress.com/file/43391/download

Best Regards,

Hi Ravi,

From the screenshot it looks like the device is coming up in device manager and USB console as "Cypress Generic USB Driver (3.4.7.000) with VID, PID of 0x04b4, 0x8613 and hence binding to cyusb.sys driver. Is this observed after the device is reset and before loading their firmware? Please explain what output is expected on PCB once the device is connected to host.

Best Regards,

Sananya
