I am trying to program the CYBLE-022001-00 with the kitprog (-059) programmer. I expected this to work as page 5 of http://www.cypress.com/file/157966/download, found in a previous post, state that it should support PRoC. As a Mac user I run Windows XP in VirtualBox and have found that I need to run PSoC Creator 4.0 which I understand does not support programming PRoC, even though I can develop for CYBLE-022001-00. I was hoping I would be able to use PSoC programmer 3.28 to program PRoC. When I attempt programming, it recognises the kitprog, but fails to program with; "the chip is not acquired".

The kitprog to chip connection should be fine. Around 3-11 Ohm.

I need some advice for where to go next.

Please note that PSoC Programmer 3.28 requires Win 7 and above as minimum requirement as mentioned in the release notes: https://www.cypress.com/file/455171/download

Also, KitProg is the *onboard* programmer/debugger and supports only Cypress-developed Kits. It will not work (may, but no guarantee) with any custom hardware or with Cypress Kits customized for different MPN.

Connect the module with one of the following three programming devices:

  • BLE Pioneer Kit (CY8CKIT-042-BLE)
  • Miniprog3 (CY8CKIT-002)
  • Third-party programming tool, such as MPQ-PSoC
