Dear all,
What Cypress kit is the right tool for developing beacons to track people? Is CYALKIT-E02 used for this sort of application?
Regards

The CYALKIT-E02 kit is primarily developed for harvesting purposes to measure the Temperature and humidity and broadcast it over BLE. However, it can be programmed with a custom firmware as per your requirements. For beacon you just need to configure your device in Broadcaster Mode.
The below link contains all the kit hardware files , PSoC Creator Project , User guide etc----

That's great. And for re-programming the solar board with MiniProg3 is there an adapter to connect to the SWD header?
two more questions:
Is there an android source code for client app to use as starting point for beacon locator?
what is a typical range these proc modules advertise indoor, 30 meter?
Regards.

I read the documentation and it seems the solar BLE can be connected to the debug board through the micro header like in the photo attached.
And II have found a source code for Android altbeacon here: Android Beacon Library
Are the long range BLE modules like CYBLE-224110-00 compatible for coin cell battery power or shall I just stick with standard range modules?

You can use extended range modules operating on coin cell as well but the battery life will be less compared to normal modules.
