Hello, what are the default hardware settings for the PSoC 6 CY8CKIT-062 WIFI BT KIT. The embedded DEMO program is not running. Is a W10 USB driver needed to recognize the KIT on the USB Port .........
Status:
1) When Power is applied, DEMO program does not run. TFT Display is blank and white.
2) When KIT is connected ot W10 USB Port, DEMO program does not run. TFT Display is blank and white.
What can be done next ?

The CE222494 PSoC6 WICED WiFi Demo program came preinstalled on my WiFi-BT board. Was that not the case for yours? For initial turn on, the USB port was only used to power the board. My PC is running Windows 7, but for powering the board it shouldn't matter. If initially the program does not boot, you can try reloading the demo program, but you will need to load either PSoC creator or PSoC programmer. A compiled .hex file of the program can be downloaded from the WiFi-BT kit website (CY8CKIT-062-WiFi-BT_PSoC®6_WiFi-BT_Pioneer_Kit_Code_Examples.zip). The PSoC creator install creates a virtual drive (KitProg2) where you drop the .hex file into and the code will be automatically loaded to the board. Good Luck, Gordon

Hello user_xxxxx,
Thanks for a reply.
But this is a hardware issue.
USB driver, button sequence, switch settings.
The DEMO program did run when Unboxed and power applied,
AC/DC adapter.
But once connected to the W10 laptop. Nothing.
So theoretically the KIT is damaged.
Any other suggestions?

The first step the program performs when you download new code to the board is to erase the current code. This causes the display to go all white. If the download fails the screen will remain white. I'm not convinced the kit is damaged beyond having bad code. Did you try downloading the pre-compiled code in the example zip file? Gordon

Quick question,
Should the KIT show on W10:This PC folder, similar to other connected USB devices ?
Recent connect to W10 USB port.
TFT DISPLAY black. No text, no blinking cursor.
LED1 flashing amber
LED2 GREEN
LED3 RED
LED4 OFF
SW5, POWER SETTING SWITCH MIDDLE.
Any suggestions?

Just refer to the kit guide http://www.cypress.com/file/407731/download to get started with it.
If it appears the embedded demo is not running even if powered on. Please check if the kitprog driver is installed on your platform, as shown on attached capture. Maybe the pre-programmed demo is not effective for some reason, please program the board using the code example available from the kit install package or PSoC Creator code reservoir. In addition, please switch SW3 on board to the correct mode for programming.

As per the snapshots attached in the thread Re: PSoC WiFi-BT KIT Default Hardware Settings , the board is binding to the correct drivers and you are all set to download the application using WICED.
Just for reference, I am attaching the snapshots here:
Device manager:
PC: The device should appear as a KitProg device in your PC.
In case, you do not see the above enumeration, make sure that only LED4 is ON on your board. Press SW3(Mode select) to turn off LED2 if its ON.
The LED status is as follows:
LED2: OFF
LED3: OFF
LED1: OFF
LED4: ON
If SW4 is pressed, the LED status will be as follows:
LED2: Blinking
LED3: ON
LED1: ON
LED4: OFF
To move back to the programming mode, press SW4 again so that the LED4 is ON and rest are OFF.
Following the above steps will ensure that device appears as the attached snapshots in your PC> In case, it doesn't appear, there could be driver related problem. Update the drivers manually and you would be good to go.
