PSoC BLE 063/062 range improvements to be released ?

Hi all, hi Cypress,

I have read about ideas that the range of the BLE module might be extended from the 10m it initially managed.

Any new developments, range extension with external antennae etc. ?

We are looking for a range of a minimum of 50m.

Hi Stefan,

Range can be improved by adding external PA and LNA  (many are available as Combo Front End chips). Cypress has many such module solutions based on PSoC 4 BLE. I am checking internally if a similar module is planned based on PSoC 6 BLE . I will update you on if and when the module is planned.

If you have an immediate design plan, using an external front end is the option.
