Hi,

According to AN91445,there is antenna radiation pattern in P.13.

AN91445: http://www.cypress.com/file/136236/download

Q1: Is PCB antenna of CYBT342036 the same specification?

Q2: How long does the customer need to separate from screw hole?

Thank you.

Hi Tak,

Antenna spec is documented in 343026 datasheet. Table 6

As for antenna pattern, we don’t test antenna pattern based on specific module. In fact the antenna pattern will change in end product. This module uses Cypress qualified PCB Nano antenna and we don’t have 3D antenna pattern.

Anjana

Hi TAK,

Most of the guidelines in the appnote are generic (except where we write about the meandered antenna dimensions)

Q1: Is PCB antenna of CYBT342036 the same specification?

A) No,This one is a different, smaller design than the one in our application note.

Q2: How long does the customer need to separate from screw hole?

As long as possible. Please refer antenna keep out layer recommendation in the datasheet figure 4 (Datasheet: www.cypress.com/file/381006/download).

Regards,

Anjana

Hi anpm

Thanks for you updates.

Could you provide antenna characteristic of CYBT-343026,such as radiation pattern?

Thank you.

Actually Page 7 of the 343026 datasheet gave some information on the layout of the host PCB. The rule of thumb is that there should not be any metallic material in the antenna keep-out area, above and below. The metallic material will negate the RF performance of the antenna, including altering its radiation pattern.
