We are planning to consider using CY8CKIT-049.
We are going to proceed with reference to "CY8CKIT-049-4xx PSoC R 4 Prototyping Kit Guide".
However, "CY8CKIT-049 4xxx Kit Only" and "CY8CKIT-049 4xxx Kit Setup" can not be installed.

Kit Only

Therefore, We would like to provide us a sample project of "CY8CKIT-049-4xx PSoC R 4 Prototyping Kit Guide".

Hello,

After re-consideration of this registry issue, some installation (probably Cypress' proprietary software) could be corrupted...

So, I would suggest re-establish the environment on your PC. The step would be:

#1 uninstall CY8CKIT-049 Kit, if it exists in Windows "Program and Features".

#2 uninstall USB-Serial Software Development Kit, if it exists in Windows "Program and Features"

#3 uninstall PSoC Creator

#4 re-install PSoC Creator

#5 install USB-Serial Software Development Kit

#6 install CY8CKIT-049 Kit

Thanks.

Hello,

As InstallShield Wizard mentioned, there were missing components:

For Kit Only: USB-Serial Software Development Kit.

This Kit can be downloaded from http://www.cypress.com/documentation/development-kitsboards/psoc-4-cy8ckit-049-4xxx-prototyping-kits... Please install USB-Serial Software Development Kit and reinstall Kit Only package again.

For Kit Setup: Microsoft VC++ 2008 Redistributable or later.

Please install this package and follow the instruction described in InstallShield Wizard.

thank you.

I tried downloading "USB-Serial Software Development Kit" and installing it.

It seems that our PC can not be installed due to security.

So, is it possible to provide "SCB_Bootloader.cywk" sample project for this kit?

Hello Mineda-san,

"USB-Serial Software Development Kit" must be needed to operate the CY8CKIT-049.

So, could you please let me confirm whether you have already installed "Microsoft VC++ 2008 Redistributable or later package" before "USB-Serial Software Development Kit" installation?

- if yes, please reboot PC just to make sure, and then try to reinstall "USB-Serial Software Development Kit".

- if no, please install "Microsoft VC++ 2008 Redistributable or later package" in your PC and reboot PC just to make sure, and then try to reinstall "USB-Serial Software Development Kit".

thank you.

I installed "Microsoft VC ++ 2008 Redistributable or later package" on PC.

However, ”Kit Setup” can not be installed with the same error as ””USB - Serial”.

I think this is a problem due to the security of our company's PC.
If we can not install USB-Serial, this kit can not be used.
Since I can not do it I will consider writing using MiniProg 3.

Mineda-san,

Thank you very much for your clarification for this.

Does it mean you tried the followings?

step 1: Installed "Microsoft VC ++ 2008 Redistributable or later package" on PC.

step 2: Tried to install "USB-Serial Software Development Kit".

step 3: Tried to install "CY8CKIT-049 Kit setup".

then, you encountered the error at step 2? Is "Microsoft VC ++ 2008 Redistributable or later package" still present as "Not installed" in InstallShied Wizard?

And, the solutions which can be taken shall be:

- to ask your IT to clarify the security which you suspect.

- to try to install packages into your current PC as administrator. This is just trial.

- to try to install the required packages into other PC. tTis is just trial as well.

Thank you.

Hello,

Step 1. was successfully installed.

In Step 2. and Step 3. ,
I get an error "Values for registry are invalid".

It can not be installed accordingly.

Since other users have similar symptoms,

However, although other users can install it,
It was said that the content of the sample project does not exist.

So I tried it, but I can not even install it.

In order to use this demo kit, it is done with MiniProg 3.

I appreciate your great support.
