As a follow on to this thread: WICED Studio 5.1 Install on Windows 7: Not enough free disk space

I am also encountered the same problem on version 6.2. There is more than 600GB free, so that is not the issue. Is the problem due to cmd.exe path?

I was at an Arrow seminar yesterday and several people from Cypress tries to get the SDK installed with no luck.  They tried both items mentioned in the previous thread (env variables, installing from a thumb drive), and a few others, but no luck.

My workaround is to Unzip the .EXE to a thumb-drive... then launch the installer from the thumb drive.    You can then tell it to install to C:\users\[your name here]\Documents..

Could you attempt to install again and send the most recent version of the install log from the: %tmp%\wiced_install_log folder.

Depending on how your /temp environment variable is setup under windows, this could be under \temp\wiced_install_log

We need the latest one as it sounds like people were trying to install yesterday with limited success, so there will be multiple logs.

Once provided, I will work with abda to see if we can figure out the issue.

Can you provide a little detail on which environment variable you added which resolved this issue?  I checked your "cmd.exe" variable yesterday and it was identical to my own, and I do not experience the issue.  A screen shot like this would be perfect:

Hello,

It seems I have the same issue with installation (WICED 6.2.1.2, 6.1.0.85 as well) at Win7 - Not enough space evenI hace 40GB free.

I see system variables C:\Windows\System32 as one of many separated by " ; ''

Unfortunately I did not catch what should be written in "User variable". Can you please define what should I type there?

Are those values of variables dependent to the path where I un-zipped instllation? I mean within disc C:\

Thank you in advance, Jan
