Hi Everyone,
I have recently purchased a PSoC 4 (CY8CKIT-042)for school project. When I tried to plug it into my pc and start on my project, I realized that my pc didn't detect the device I have. And I found this on the Device and Printer page. I tried to reinstall the drivers like the solution I found on google, but no luck at all. Please help me to solve the issue.

Hi,
Can you please give a short explanation what will the restore instruction do? Because I asked some of my friends, they can just plug in the PSoC 4 and use immediately.
Thank You

The PSoC5LP or kitprog on the kit act as programmer and debugger to PSoC4 .It may be possible that the bootloadable image of Kitprog on your kit got corrupted .
Its clearly mentioned in the CY8CKIT-042 PSoC Pioneer Kit Guide how to restore the kitprog factory image in such case.
It may be possible that the other kits do not have a corrupted kitprog image
