Hi all,

I am using CY7C65630-56LTXI connected to 2 FTDI chips. The EEPROM used is MT25QL256ABA8E12-1SIT. When connected to PC, Windows does not recognize any FTDI peripheral (port COM) but only one unknown peripheral. On linux it’s the same, but it recognizes one periheral CY7C65630 not the 2 FTDI.

Before that I used CY7C65630-56LTXA with EEPROM N25Q256A13E1240E on the exact same PCB routing and that worked perfectly.

Do I need driver for CY7C65630-56LTXI ? Is EEPROM MT25QL256ABA8E12-1SIT compatible with CY7C65630 ?

Thank you

Hello,

- Please check if the EEPROM is loaded with the proper configuration information.

- Bind the HX2VL device to the driver attached in this interaction(Password: cypress) and read the EEPROM contents using the Blaster utility that comes with the CY4607 RDK

- Share the screenshot of the device manager and the Blaster Utility.

- In order to detect the downstream devices, the hub must be bound to usbhub.sys driver. Kindly, check this from the device manager.

Best regards,

Srinath S

Hi dear,

Thank you for helping me, I will try your solution as soon as I can.

Just to know, does the CY7C65630 has to be necessarily connected to an

external EEPROM ? On page 9 of the datasheet it is written that "SPI

data line should be connected to GND with 15 kOhm resistor (Even if no

EEPROM is used)"

If there is no EEPROM, does the CY7C65630 initialize with default

parameters ?

Hello Nicolas,

CY7C65630 can work without an EEPROM under which the internal configuration parameters are loaded. The EEPROM can optionally be externally used to modify certain configuration parameters.
