In EZ-USB FX 3, a crystal is inserted between the XTALIN pin and the XTALOUT pin
It can be connected, or an external clock can be connected to the CLKIN pin
Although it is described in the data sheet, when connecting to XTALIN / OUT
Is it OK to connect the CLK IN terminal?

Hello,
The FX3 chooses the input clock based on the FSLC[2:0] pins. Although crystal and clock are connected, FX3 chooses one of those based on the FSLC[2:0] pin strap connection.

Hello,
When you are using XTALIN input, the CLKIN pin can be left floating (unconnected).

Thank you for your early reply.
I understand that it can be unconnected

Hello,
- I2C lines need to be added with a pull up resistor recommended value being 2kohm.
- SPI lines and JTAG lines do not need a pull-up or pull-down resistor and can be left open.
